I never understood why this group was met with such disdain back in the day.

A couple of years and a couple deaths later and suddenly those folks all love it now -

But - YOU FOOL NO ONE!

We remember your hipster dismissal of the band.

I distinctly remember that "no take backs" were called - So, here is a classic song that's been hiding in plain sight all these years

But there was significant hipster pushback.

Back then, I just wondered how Jeff Lynne got in. I'm ok with him tho

My Favorite part of that video is the rocking chair with Roy's guitar in it.

So damn good

Here's Roy and the guys on a better rock and roll tune.

Raw is always better IMHO, so I love the rough production/unpolished sound on this

Of course, when this record came put I was living in an unaccompanied NCO barracks in the ROK.

So I couldn't really edit who I saw everyday.

to put them down. I loved listening to them.

For me, they were all great with the exception of RO not being in my taste. I would love anything George Harrison was in even if I did not like the music. If he was there there was love and beauty. Oh how I miss him being alive in this world.

I was just listening to The Wailing Jennys sing Tom Pettys Wildflowers. Damn. Too much wine, I am getting all teary.

Still love it and play it frequently. I was a kid in the 80's so maybe I wasn't in tune with the hipster crowd. My dad was a huge fan and played this album all the time.
