I listened to the chick groups as well as dude groups.
I lived in Akron and Detroit was what we were listening to. Even Rock - Mitch Ryder.

American cultural era and success. I've missed it for years.
Akron and Detroit must have been hopping; we visited relatives in the Motor City in the early 60s but I was a bit too young for most popular music then. Ands since that period of prosperity, big changes for the area god knows.
