GREAT perf of a GREAT song ... wow.
This is what you call KILLING it. Tight as tight gets.
Really impressive.
Despite my near encyclopedic knowledge of 70's music I'm not sure I ever heard this track and never heard of the band, but if I did hear it, it was only was a few times on the radio when very young. Was just watching some TY and came across it and was floored. Dunno how this isn't more appreciated, as it's a very good song.

(5,935 posts)In the mid-seventies, I was living without electricity or much of anything modern. I remember hearing the song a few times, most likely snippets on car radios as I caught rides to and from town. I always assumed it was a Van Morrison Song.

(33,643 posts)I gotta say, this dude's actually got maybe even a bit more impressive set of pipes though ...And I say that as a HUGE Van the Man fan ... the vocals in this performance are incredible. Esp. at the end ... Just a killer tune in every way. Van's maybe got him in the 'soulfulness' dept tho. And certainly in the 'career' sense lol ...

(5,935 posts)And, yeah, great voice.
Being isolated from the world during the time, I didn't hear much music. I was mostly into the Dead and whatever music the people of my commune played around the fires. My impression of the era at the time was that rock didn't know where it was going or what it wanted to do. Now I get to catch up on all of the wonderful music that did come out of that time. Thanks for posting!
