Didn't know it at the time, but this is definitely a blues standard. Love the blues and hope to be able to safely go back to NOLA Jazz Fest in 2022! I love the blues tent and the Fais Do Do stage, they are such great music venues.

to return to NO, the one time I visited it was fantastic.

Gem of a town, full of energy, great people, diverse music, food, culture, arts and history.

The Jazz Fest sounds wonderful, hope you make it in '22!

It's like Mardi Gras but not nearly as nasty and dirty. There are people of all ages who come, from lots of grey haired folks to tiny babies and they have tents for the young ones and misting tents set up for people who get too hot; There's music from locals to some of the major names. Marcia Ball plays there every year and OMG is she good and so is Rosey LeDette. Some of the big name bands we've seen there - Elton John, Santana, Jon Bon Jovi, Jimmy Buffet (he goes there a ton), No Doubt, Fleetwood Mac, Wide Spread Panic, Dr. John. Then of course there's the zydeco and cajun music playing at the Fais Do Do stage and my favorite - the Blues Tent. Such great music we've heard there, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Luther Kent. Oh yeah, they also have amazing food stands there with great food being served and there's always the wine and beer stands.

So yeah, to have this great music on top of the always sublime NO food = heaven as long as you can tolerate the usual high heat & humidity.
