Same here...

My grandfather and grandmother...Ida Mae Powers/Buchanan married Henry Buchanan....They owned the General Store/ Dickenson County... and my dad as a young boy delivered the mail on horseback... The original singing Carter Family/ they with would stay at their house...a religious focus...

Dad knew Ralph too...Ralph apparently did local concerts there locally thru the 90's...

but it was the same time Princess Diana was killed in the car crash Ralph Stanley was there playing music in the parking lot across from the funeral home.

I haven't been there in over 15 years now....since my father passed away and his sister, Valdie Vanover...she lived up ontop of the hill in Clintwood.
