You have a good ear for music (Patrick Sweany too). In 1973 the song, “Dearg Doom” , with it’s great guitar and electric mandolin riffs, combined with Uillean pipes and awesome bass lines, reached number one on the German charts. The album The Tain is based on old Irish mythological tales and used traditional music and rock’n’roll to tell the stories. It was years before Whiskey in the Jar by Thin Lizzy. People that love Jethro Tull always like Horslips.

I like Celtic rooted music wherever I come across it.

This is never heard in America

But this is an FM radio stalwart

They're both great songs, but Horslips deserves to be better known in America
