I love Roy Harper's vocals (I think some people don't realize this is a guest vocalist, not Roger or Dave). There are different stories about why neither of them sang it, including not being able to hit the vocal range, and not agreeing too closely with the lyrical content. It is definitely an over-the-top FU to record execs.

Part of me wonders if this song was sort of a dare. Write a song that would offend the executives, and dare them to publish it. Well, I guess score one for the executive team at CBS. Either that, or they weren't paying attention.

Whatever the back story, an incredible song.
