Iggy Pop - Real Wild Child (Wild One) + original by Johnny O'Keefe + cover by the Crickets






The original, from Australian rocker Johnny O'Keefe -- and this was the first rock song to be a hit on the Australian charts, back in 1958:







The cover by Buddy Holly and the Crickets, with drummer Jerry Allison taking lead vocals (Buddy Holly on backing vocals), which was a minor hit (peaking at #68 in 1958):







I like Iggy's version best. But the others are interesting, and fun.

really good and surprisingly different.
Iggy convinced me that he’s the real wild one though.
