Does a processor care where the amps originate?

I am currently using a Denon X3500H as my main receiver and my Denon 3805 as a amp for the two fronts. I am utilizing a 5.2.2 room setup. I want to have 5.2.4 instead. If I purchase a Emotiva MC1, which is a 13.2 processor, can I use the two Denon recievers as the power amps for the Basx?

Yeah, both my Denons have EXT IN which completely bypasses all processing. Ferrets are Cool Apr 2022 #3

I'll assume your Emotiva does all the work of a preamp.
So, you'd want to be sure there's a way to input directly into the Denon power stage.
Inputting to another preamped signal path can add both noise & distortion. Those inputs are looking for a very low gain signal, and if the Emotiva is already adjusting gain, it could likely be too much signal for the Denon.
Adding preamped signal to another stage of gain is how guitar amps build layers of distortion. You wouldn't want that for surround sound.
I've got a Denon, as well. I see nothing on my diagram that allows bypassing preamp stages and going direct to the power stage. But, your models may be different.

And pre-outs. I don't see a problem with it, but before I made the purchase I wanted to see if anyone here could confirm.
