Music Appreciation
Related: About this forumi so happy.
so, a friend was playing irish music at the beach at the end of my street tonight.
turns out it's a regular jam, every other sunday. folks sit in.
poked an old, dear friend, and a newer friend that i'd chatted w on fb about singing w.
a lovely couple hours, even tho there was no singing and no amplification. a quiet bunch, you could barely hear them 10' away.
havent had my head down the irish music rabbit hole lately, so i didnt have songs i knew off the top of my head. so, didnt get to sing.
but new friend is a player who used to sing w her daughter, and she's got burned out, and doesnt sing these days. so she's been fishing for a singer. shits and giggles is the plan. our musical tastes line up almost perfectly.
having a blast kicking around a list on fb since we got home.
so, 2 wks to get it together.
i'll report back.
