(49,004 posts)replied then. This isn't my very favorite type of music, though I like Molly Tuttle a lot. This particular song, though, really touched me.
I know very little about Molly Tuttle, and had to do some googling to discover that although she grew up in Palo Alto, she's the granddaughter of an Illinois farmer, and she'd spent a lot of time on his farm during her childhood.
As the granddaughter and niece of farmers (though in a region of limestone hills, not flatland), almost every single word of this song spoke to me, and I'll be recommending her new album (which I see is getting rave reviews) to family.
Thanks for posting this!

I've been living in the corn of southern Illinois for 23 years now, so my kids are flatlanders...
Molly is a treasure. She's done bluegrass in her previous albums, but this is the 1st all bluegrass release and boy oh boy did she find a band to play with.
