We knew her back in the early 70s when she was in Rufus.
The first time we met her she was not quite 20, and the band still called her YM. (Yvette Marie)
She was a real sweetie. Nice as could be.
The band was really good, but she was clearly the star. She had great range, power & control although barely out of her teens.
They played a weekly 3 band bill at my town's skating rink a couple times a summer, for a few years.
My dad was tangentially involved with the promotion so we got backstage passes every summer. Met a lot of cool people those years.
