- 1964. No. 1 hit in Canada, West Germany, New Zealand, US. Tony Hatch, a British songwriter and producer wrote the song. During the 1960s, he wrote most of Clark's material, including her follow-up hit, 'I Know A Place.' This song was Clark's first hit in the US.

her other hits. At the time we had penpals in Britain through our school which was fun. And In the 70s I saw a glimpse of QEII at a shopping center opening in Cambridge when I was there.
