I had all their albums, including Brain Capers, which was far from a commercial success. (It was, IMO, their weakest work.)
Then, they covered This Bowie tune, followed that up with Mott, and then The Hoople.
There was an article about them in Circus magazine every month for 3 years.
This song was so important for them!
