in the late 70s but I can never find proof. I couldn't have hallucinated it either. Does anyone else remember this?

For some reason they remind me of Larry Raspberry and the High Steppers. I saw them playing live in a park in Nashville and was blown out. They had this same irreverent hypher fun vibe. Cat Style was their big song and I loved it.

Kings of The Wild Frontier wasn't the Ants' first album. It was the first US release, but 2nd album.
Here's another one I liked off that album. They really got into that east African drum thing for a while.
