Lumpy Beanpole and Dirt: Bad Livers

I saw these guys open for Leftover Salmon many years ago and enjoyed the hell out it. It was just two of them, a banjo and a tuba. We bought their CD but it must have gone with my ex in our breakup. And that was that ... had totally forgotten about them until I saw someone mention on the Billy Strings Reddit that they were looking forward to hearing the playback of Lumpy Beanpole and Dirt from the Billy show in Manchester. That’s a hard song title to forget, lol!
“Omg, Bad Livers? No way!”
The range of covers Billy and the guys do is terribly impressive.

Edit to Add:

Was so awash in nostalgia for my fun, music-filled years before I met heroin and then took damn near two decades to climb out of that dark and isolated pit, forgot to look for a cover version. Here’s one, and it’s great, as expected. I’m so grateful to be fully feeling and experiencing music again. To feel that joy. Happy New Year, y’all.
