I printed out the lyrics once and sang the song over and over until I memorized the song by heart.

Not only could they sing, but the rest of the band were pros.

Michael Allsup – guitar
Jimmy Greenspoon – keyboards
Floyd Sneed – drums
Joe Schermie – bass

We saw them in '74 or '75 when they played the big fieldhouse in our city. They were excellent.
When we saw them they had an extra guy on synthesizers and other keys, so Jimmy only did piano & guitar. His name was Skip Konte, but he went by The Wizard. He incorporated magician fire tricks into the show.
The opening act was the all-female Isis. (Too bad that name got corrupted. )
