FREE DAW Software ....

I would not post this if I thought it wasn't worth it - It is ...

I have not played with it for over 30 days yet, so I don't know if it will throw a flag or a nuisance or nag eventually ...

It seems to be fully functional .... Here is a YouTube video clip about the product ...

And here is the download page ... select the "Download Studio One Free" link, then enter your music email account, or any other account (The only cost) ...

Select 'User Account' when downloading the libraries ... There is only one instrument that is multiple-iteration capable, with over 100 sounds, and a set of acid-like loops.

I own SONAR X2 Producer, and I find this layout easy and fresh ... simple to find tools .... Very nice ...

1. Is it still available?

I selected Studio One Free, registered my email, but the only links that appeared were for the Studio One Professional 2 Demo for Windows 32-Bit & 64-Bit. I also did not see a link for the libraries.

Any ideas?

3. Yeah ... Load the appropriate Demo program ...

And it came up in FREE mode ...

One caveat ... I downloaded and executed the "Windows 32 bit Demo", while I already had downloaded the program last week and had an iteration installed, so it didn't do the library download function ... I am pretty sure it will go through the setup functions on a fresh execution.

Try it out .... It will be worth it to try ....

I have a little recording studio, but it's all plug and play, some digital, some analog, with real boards that have xlr and 1/4 and RCA inputs and easy to use functions that are right in front of my face, but I've never done anything with DAW's except for like Pro Tools in real studios, where engineers do all this computer stuff.

It'll take some time to try to figure out how to use this and learn how to interface this with my other gear. It looks like it will be valuable, but for now it's a total mystery. This kind of thing always looks impossible at first.

I kind of like things with sliders and knobs, things that say, "plug microphones in here, adjust levels, hit record, and do your thing, edit as necessary, and master".
