(14,529 posts)Very Goldilocks and the 3 bears, but I think I like number 2 best.

(149,748 posts)They do rather resemble a Rohrshach inkblot. But what does that say about us???
#2 is pretty, for sure. I had fun playing with the exposure compensation ring on my camera.

(9,920 posts)Long story short, the top one looks almost 2 stops underexposed. My, how could that be?
The bottom one looks most realistic, AND pleasing. (They usually go together)
Do check your settings. I myself sometimes forget to reset (for example, someone said to go +0.7 stops for sunsets. Looks good, but I caught myself not resetting that the next day.) The camera remembered.
That lighting should have "clicked" with any meter/metering unless the bright spots were really really bright. Other pictures look OK?

(149,748 posts)It was the setting left over from the last photo I took before taking this one. I'd forgotten to change it.
It has now been changed, but too late for that photo.
I'm pleased that you like #3. It is pretty.
BTW: I don't really do metering. I take photos on how they look on the little viewing screen on the back of the camera. It works.

(9,920 posts)Setting out, I discovered that exposure compensation had been set to -0.7 stops (for the sunrise and planets, posted in elleng's thread) and that the grip covering is loose from many years of service, and that the 4 little screws that hold the tripod socket are all loose. Easy for me.
Today was sunrise with two planets, flowers and sunset. One of those days.
I will review and share some.
And reset my sunset exposure compensation, +0.7 before tomorrow.

Foxy as in "foxy". From back in the day.
C'mon y'all! You knew that connotation, yes?

(149,748 posts)That was the whole idea.
I've been called foxy before, though not in a long time. I like the name.
