How long did it take you to paint all the background in monochrome? jaxexpat May 2022 #16
Ha Ha, not long at all jaxexpat, because the background is a hillside leading to a ridgeline. George McGovern May 2022 #22

So anytime you want to get away from Florida's nutz, just drop me a line and we can make arrangements. We're only an hour and a half from Seattle's SeaTac airport . . .

I guess that's what you call 'Big Country'. You certainly caught it in all it's beauty. Love looking at this photo. Even the cows are perfect.

This was Vermont so, yes, it always ended in a cow pasture. The night time trips were a bit of a challenge and we almost always had curious cows waking us up in the morning. On the other hand, those trips were such fun that I still smile when I think about them.

we played baseball in a cow pasture. Dried cow plops were the bases. We took care to not slide in the base paths.

Where in Vermont? God's country!

I know we headed towards Montpellier and the hilly country around there. It was awesome; hilly trails, bugs, stream to play and wash in, cow pies and all. I was and still am lucky to have had those summer times.

Long time ago I was able to hike on The Long Trail. A great experience. I've never forgotten what it was like standing in the wind above treeline. Almost other-worldly.

experiences and opportunities. Young is truly blessed with that sense of wonder. On the other hand, I'm finding that sense again as I get older and I certainly find it in photographs and did find it while doing my own photography. The human mind is a wonder all in itself.

I mean, our clouds never line up in neat rows like that. Ever.

Besides, who controls the clouds anyways? Might as well try and catch the wind.

As in Donovan's 1981 duet with Crystal Gayle:
