My latest obsession I’m calling “ARACHNOAFFECTION”
Mabel Orb Weaver and Spiny Orb Weaver that live in my birdcage screen room. Don't be afraid, they're good guys. Hope you enjoy!

The Mabel Orb Weaver is about .5" from tip of front legs to tip of back legs

I have a rather plain orb weaver above my bed. S/he catches the noseeums and the occasional mosquito so we have cordial relationship. I just have to sweep the old webs off the ceiling once a week or so.

I'll try to get an acceptable pic.

They use orb spiders in nature shows about the jungle dangers. When in fact orb’s are very laid back. Much like tarantulas.

They are beautiful and colorful.

We used to see larger "grove" spiders, but those are few and far between now, for some reason
