(14,559 posts)I have a rather plain orb weaver above my bed. S/he catches the noseeums and the occasional mosquito so we have cordial relationship. I just have to sweep the old webs off the ceiling once a week or so.
I'll try to get an acceptable pic.

(28,845 posts)They use orb spiders in nature shows about the jungle dangers. When in fact orbs are very laid back. Much like tarantulas.
They are beautiful and colorful.
