Louisiana Water-thrush

Or so I was told. Just off the water, near the Texas border. Bare spots have been planted with clover (which is nice).

And this critter passed through before I got there. (Alligator)

There were several tracks with tail marks...I just wanted a footprint. The water is low and a sandbar has been exposed. The alligators are walking from one body of water to the other. Great nesting area on an island on the water side of the sandbar.

Not too long ago a 12 foot, 1100 pound male was captured in the same waters. It was during the annual purge of "nuisance" alligators. They are either "harvested" or sold to farms.

Wonderful shot of some kind of warbler, just not a Louisiana Waterthrush or a Northern Waterthrush
