It does have a desolate feeling to it. No trees, or mountains or anything. It was by itself in the sky, which for me, makes it easier to capture.

Before I posted this photo, I went through my Moon file on SmugMug to see if I'd already put it there. If I found it, that meant that I had indeed posted it before.

This year has been pretty tough, and I think that was why I'd forgotten it.

Definitely a trip of discovery!

15. It's hard to imagine that humans actually walked on the surface of the moon--its so cold, so

far away---so scary to me.

16. I think about that often when I look at the moon

as an American child in a foreign land, I was so proud

it also amazes me to think of all the people who have lived on this earth and looked up at that same moon
