i've been a follower of DU since 2002 but never joined until recently. flame wars stopped me and i still do not post much, just rec and do a response to kick a post.
but the photography group is great. it's the first thing i check. sorry if i don't post much or comment often but that is my nature.
i was reading a thread in GD that developed into rubbish, nonsense, flame, poo poo and decided that i need to upload a photo.
my wife and i lived in aruba (emigrated after w got re-elected, returned in '05 to care for ailing parents) and while there we ran a kitten rescue. nursing kittens that were either abandoned, mother killed, etc. during our 5 years there we raised and found homes for about 150. 95% of them went to the US and Canada via tourists that wanted to adopt an Aruban kitty.
these are our next to last rescue. i love calicoes and i squealed in delight when i walked into the vet's office and upon looking into the carboard box saw 4 !!
they were about 1 week old when we picked them up. about 5 weeks old in this picture.

(1,576 posts)We came back with 7 - and our pomeranian. What a sight we were coming through the airport. If I may indulge you, I present you with our 7 cats.

(14,040 posts)The fact that you got six of the seven in a group shot and all looking (sorta) in the camera's direction is a feat in and of itself. My cats see me pick up the camera and run.

(1,576 posts)I shot about 10 frames and this was the only one where most were looking at the camera.

are beautiful! I love Missy I guess because
I had a kitten that looked exactly like her.
How does your dog get along with the cats?
