(22,641 posts)Your photographs are spectacular in showing us the beauty of it. Color - variety - beauty - the amazing glory of America the Beautiful.
You make me happy with these!
I went there once, in the middle of a convention where I was working. I was so exhausted I parked the car, opened all the windows, and took a nap.
I had my camera, but not my wits.
Thanks for your wonderful images. Every one, especially the indigo bush.

We're getting into summer here, so visits out there are best taken in the early morning to avoid triple-digit temperatures.
As for the indigo bush, I just love them! For some reason I can't find one at the local nursery. Oh well, I'll keep looking.

(57,441 posts)In L.A. it is hard to capture that kind of blue sky with all our L.A. haze.

(10,751 posts)...but we do get lots and lots of dust, which is a real pain when the wind kicks up. But the sky is almost always great.
As for the blue flowers, they really are that beautiful deep indigo blue. The indigo bushes have lots and lots of those small deep blue flowers on them so it's a really pretty sight while they're in bloom, and adds an unusual color to the desert landscape.
