(60,071 posts)3. This is only the second time I've had one bloom.
Jade plants grow like weeds around here. I have a couple in my yard that are as tall as me. I've never seen one bloom. Really quite lovely.
Great shot.

(60,071 posts)7. Thanks. Mine stay outside in warm weather. This one is at least 25 years old.
It's getting too heavy to move in and out of the house.

(8,039 posts)6. I've not seen the jade plants
in bloom and no longer have any. (over watered one rainy summer) I have snake plants that started blooming a few years ago after a decade of nothing and the flowers look very similar. The scent on them is very sweet and strong. Usually bloom around the end of June so they are outside and we can smell them all over the yard.

(60,071 posts)10. I water mine once a month. I feed them from April to Sept. I leave it outside so I don't need to
water them. I do feed them.

I have never seen a jade plant bloom, so this is a treat.

(60,071 posts)12. It is a rare occasion for me. I guess they have to reach a certain age
before they bloom.
