I've read great several decent reviews on photography blogs, however I was curious if our DU photogs had any feedback.
Customer service was a bit lacking from what I gather...
The price is certainly fantastic!
Be well!

(9,314 posts)the price is unbelievable. I think I would start with a small book just to see what the quality is like.
Thanks for sharing this. My parents may get a photo book for Christmas.

(9,314 posts)In the category of photo books to avoid, I would include Artisan States photo books. According to Artisan State, The Photographers Photo Book is flush mounted, affordable, and lay flat. It is available with various cover options, has library quality binding, and is made with real photo paper.Artisan2_crop
Unfortunately, Every page is mounted on rigid PVC sheets [sic]. PVC decomposes over time and is a poor choice of materials when it comes to long-term preservation. It is also environmentally unfriendly. See Effect of PVC on Imaging Materials for more details on this material.

(14,910 posts)I will update my previous comment on customer service from lacking to nightmare based on more reviews.
That's unfortunate.
Yeah, the pvc-mount is also unfortunate to learn.
Im well really on archival mounting as I'm an avid concert print collector. I've spent hundreds more on frame jobs on single prints over the years.
I guess for me it's not really a deal breaker on a photo book for personal use. As a professional item, I would probably look elsewhere.
Decisions. Decisions.
Thanks for your reply...

(9,314 posts)was a much better review.
I think these would be fine as personal photo books, not so much for professional or something that needs to be archival.
I might give them a try sometime.
Thanks for the info. I have never heard of the company.
