Wind in the weeds

I finally got a chance to try out my new neutral density filter today. It had been too dreary and wet to go out for a while, and yesterday was the first sunny day in ages. The downside to the much-appreciated colder and clearer weather is that everything is glazed in ice and you take in your life in your hands trying to walk anywhere, but here is a picture of the dry grass blowing on a cliff overlooking Knik Arm at Pt. Woronzof. (What we need now is about a foot of snow so that it's safe to walk. Hullboss and I were gripping each other tightly.)

when the water is running. We're thinking of taking a road trip down to Valdez...the waterfalls through Thompson Pass are amazing, and I've been unable to really do them justice because of the bright light. Of course, we have a lot of running water closer to home, too, but not much is running right now.

Maybe I can give regnaD a a run for his money with the "water falling over things." LOL.
