Exploring the Samsung Android-dial up warning.

Sample images follow.

After exploring the phone further I find that resolution can be as high as 8 meg. Manual adjustments include ISO,
face detection/macro/autofocus,
blink detection (huh?),
flash on/off/auto,
effects (normal/b&w/sepia/negative),
metering (center weight/spot/matrix),
Image Stabilization,
White balance,
contrast adjustment
and resolution in megs.
It also has a self timer.

The zoom is 4x, 28-100 35mm equivalent by my estimation.

The screen is almost useless in full sun but shading it with your hand helps some. The on-screen zoom works best if you anchor a thumb on the screen and slide the index finger as opposed to moving both.

Pre-focus is accomplished by touching the shutter release icon and holding it while re-composing. Taking your finger off the icon trips the shutter.

With 8 megs the image quality is governed by auto focus and lens quality. Like all small format cameras sharpness suffers at near infinity but close in, 10' or so, it looks pretty crisp and should make adequate 11X14 prints.

It's not going to compete with any of the DSLRs out there, but for casual snapshooting results are better than I expected.

Sample images straight from the camera, no processing.

Can't judge sharpness with this one; shot through thick tinted glass.
