(149,611 posts)Your pictures are wonderful. Plus you know how to frame them; this is something I haven't learned yet.
I especially like the second picture--there's something quite lovely in the way you've composed the shot.
I hope you'll come back and post more.

(219 posts)If you follow the links of the folders back to my webpage...I have several more from this outing Saturday evening.
I use the photo-editor Picasa. It is very easy to use... it is free and it really helps when trying to find the best section of the photo to use.
Photography is one of my passions.... I have had some successes with my photos...but I generally just take photos for the sake of creating something that is pleasing to the eye.
Thanks again for your kind words!

(46,436 posts)It's always nice to see new photographers in this group. I think this is, and has always been, the best group of people on DU.

(14,889 posts)I am absolutely familiar with Presque Isle, Marquette! Beautiful area. I always loved going to the art fair in the summer that was held there. Did lots of scuba diving in that area too.
And I'd like to add my "welcome" to the group! Looking forward to viewing your photos and hope to see more familiar scenes!

(219 posts)Presque Isle is one of Michigan's special places to visit. I love "Art on the Rocks"...I have actually scuba dived in Lake Superior when I was younger. Made one dive 80 feet deep... something I will never forget.
Thanks for the kind words!
