Today's adventure

It stared off with a bit of whimsey.

And an Apple fail.

Didn't get much in the way of birds except Canada geese and this blackbird.

It was an overcast, grey morning so I actually headed out with black and white in mind.

I ended the trip with a bit of color. These are appropriately called Farewell to Spring.

They're doing construction, and the usual tasting room and surrounding area is closed to the public. The parking lot is one of my favorite places to shoot. But the view of their vineyards from the back road is wonderful, too.

I was surprised to learn that the males all have the option to display full color. Some will display only a yellow wing bar.

Others go full spectrum.
