Summer Photo contest...a little help?

Okay, so I've not done this before...how the heck do I post the photos in GD? I want to get this up so I can get back to my book

Thanks in advance (winning a contest is hard work...kudos to ALL previous winners!)

and at the moment I do not have the time to help!

Go here, and see if you can call on one of the folks in this thread:

A little later in the week I can help, but I hope someone will step up before then.

You will have to divide the photos into two threads, the line-up can be your choice, and you have to list them by the name of the photo and then by right clicking on the photo save them with their location url.

From those two lists you will create the polls.
You write your pre-amble words and then line up the photos, then you click on create polls, and enter the titles. Cross link them with their DU url and that does it.
I'm not good at computer stuff in many ways, so for me new hair grew on my chest when I first did it. But others are more facile, I hope one of them will help you.

You'll use 2 threads. Divide the entries between 2 polls.

You'll copy and paste the entries into the threads. Make sure the poll numbers line up with the entries in the thread.

Poll should last 72 hours. You can set it to last that long - you'll see the drop screen above the poll area.

Look at old contests - helps get an idea of how it all goes.

Number your photos as a guide to the numbers on the poll.

You'll make mistakes. Everyone does. No biggie. Easy to fix.

Make sure each thread contains a link back to the other thread.

PM me if you need to.

It helps the voters to navigate between polls.

Also, announce within this group that you posted the contest in GD. It helps the photographers to know the polls are up.

You're doing a wonderful job. It's up and running, and it looks good.

Thanks!

...about the concept behind this month's contest to each of the GD polls.

Thanks, a la izquierda.
