(36,827 posts)The picture is from my iPad. I brought my regular Nikon and my infrared Nikon, so I'll have lots more pictures to share when I get back. Yesterday we toured the Palo Verde National Park. Tomorrow I'm taking an excursion into Nicaragua to a small village that is reportedly stuck in a time long past, so I might find more interesting subjects there.

(46,436 posts)My daughter and son-in-law got to spend eight months down there in Montezuma a few years ago and we visited. It was fantastic. I've never seen so much beautiful beach with no people.

(31,408 posts)The house we were building in a development in Panama that got mired in financial problems in 2006--and we finally sold out several years later
when we had our own financial issues after our house burned down here in Chapel Hill--was on Isla Bastimentos in
the Bocas del Toro area of Panama, which is not far from the southern border with Costa Rica.
I wish it had worked out for us, because I'd be living there now!
