Just a quick update

January 5th is when my next journey begins. The doctor who did my original cancer surgery is actually a well known maxillofacial surgeon and his team will repair my jaw and anything else. So I am in good hands. I was hoping to go back to him for this, but you never know. I'm on retiree Tri-Care, so cost is (and I know how fortunate I am) is a burden that has been lifted. They ruled my condition medical, which changed the obligation to me significantly.

I just found out this morning he will be doing everything and got my appointment date as well.

So until then, when I'm not napping (and I nap quite a bit) I can bug you all.

And, yes, napping is my euphemism for pain killers have knocked me out.

Yes, yes. TMI.

Still...

Love you!

Solly

I was pleased too. He really is a good doctor. I go soon for new x-rays and blood work. I just did x-rays but he wants "fresh ones".

Doctors can be picky little things.

I have dental insurance, but my medical is 100% coverage (surgery, labs, hospital stays, etc.) with co-pays for doctor office visits under 20. So, huge savings. They went back and forth since my teeth are involved on whether it was dental or not, but my dentist told them he would not perform any procedures on my mouth due to my medical history (cancer/radiation). That was that.

I enjoy napping even without the nap aids, but they do cause my bed to fairly scream, "Come to me!". So I do.

It's so much better when one has a clearer idea than it is to imagine. Even when it's bad, and I know it is.
You will suffer more, and then I hope comes the dawn of a better time.

Know that we will be there every step you take, if you keep telling us what you can. I don't usually speak for others, but we all "love you more".
And even if you can't tell us much along the way, we know how to keep you in our hearts because we will miss you so much.

My eegit and I were talking today about Lola and how adorable she is, and how much life and love she will bring to your life.

And I said Lola will get back everything she gives and then some, because your capacity to love and care for others is tremendous.

I'm scared but you all make me feel better about it, and you especially make me feel that I will be OK.

Course, as long as he does do the other side lift, I'll be more than OK. lol

Seriously, one side of my face looks younger than the other due to the first surgery. I'm going to remind him constantly and keep bugging him about it until he can't change his mind. You know doctors, sometimes they get in and change their game plan.

I love you.
