2. Thanks! I did! A female mountain lion in heat kept me awake most of the night...

... at Point Reyes, but even that was "entertaining."

The other pics were from Big Sur. The weather was so comfortable there! I didn't see any whales or seals, unfortunately.

3. That does sound entertaining even if a wee bit annoying.

I'd have been laughing between yawns.

Big Sur is so pretty!

I love the photo with the steps - really good shot!

4. Thanks. That was one of the few places I found that had steps going down...

to a beach.

I gashed the heck out of a toe walking on the sharp rocks in one of the pics. That was called Jade Cove. I was wearing sandals like a dummy when I butt-shimmied my way down there to look for jade. I had to clean dirt out of the cut after climbing up the ridiculously steep "trail" back to the top. I should've walked back to the rental car and put on my hiking boots before going down there.

I guess it wasn't all fun after all.

It was truly a nice time overall, though!

5. I think every holiday trip demands an injury as sacrifice to the travel gods.

Well, OK - maybe it's just me but I always hurt myself while traveling. Usually minor, but still...

Hope your toe healed quickly!
