Same thing a week or two ago. Every thing outside looked orange. Smoke from the fires out West causing it?

No fires. We've had a few days of bad storms so it's just solar reflection on the levels of clouds.

When Mt St Helen went off we had strange sun sets kind of like these. A few days ago the Weather Channel had a map of the smoke from the Western fires spreading all the way to the East Coast.

My memory might be getting foggy, but I don't remember a lot of atmospheric effects.

Last night was just way too cloudy to see much of a sunset. Now I'm going to make it a point to check things out, tomorrow at dusk.

I did see a rainbow, this morning.

the pictures. My mother called these skies "sky-blue pink." I think of her every time I see pictures like this...I miss her so.

40% of my pictures are clouds, 40% are rocks and the other 20% miscellaneous things. Thanks for sharing.
