(149,754 posts)This is from my trip to Antelope Canyon in Page, AZ.
Whoever hasn't seen this spot in person, needs to! Photos only hint at the sights to be seen there.

(22,380 posts)I've been a bit busy - and not around enough to check DU.
Anyone who has been there has, in my opinion, been in a dimension they will never be able to shake.

(60,078 posts)After thirty years they still havent regained feeling in their asses.
One time they got a flat tire, so one lifted that corner up and the other rolled a rock under the axle. I never asked them how long it took to cross the Rockies

(2,575 posts)My wife of thirty-three years died in December of 2010. I was devastated.
By chance, I discovered that Burning Man's theme for 2011 was "Rite Of Passage". That spoke to me. I took my grief to Black Rock City, and the first art installation I saw was this gateway top the main Playa.
I took this picture.
Then I walked through it into a new life.

(7,707 posts)My step-son got married in a City Hall. His beautiful bride is from Malaysia. There is only so much time to get married after paying the fees and processing paper work to enter the U.S., so they decided to go this route. They will be having another wedding ceremony in Malaysia very soon. The new bride will be an added Democratic voter as well.
Besides taking photos of the marriage ceremony, I also took photos of the amazing architecture in this particular building.

(24,654 posts)The tall orange and yellow in the background is a Chihuly blown glass piece. Second time I have stumbled on a Chihuly exhibit in a garden setting. This was at Biltmore. Love the way curators and gardeners partner for these exhibits. It takes my breath away to see nature and human creative effort blend so beautifully.
