Summer Skies

These shots were taken from the balcony of my 5th floor apartment here in Raleigh, NC facing north by northeast from June 12-August 23 2019. I never tire of watching the changing skies from my windows.

but this was the most colorful one. None of the shots I posted have been edited for color or saturation.

I have learned to look for the rainbows when it stops raining and the sun comes out in the afternoon!

and see if I had captured a sense of how the view varies. It does!

I've been thinking about moving back to Chapel Hill because I miss the hummingbirds, the wildlife, and the quiet, but there's nothing that would give me both this view and wildlife.

unless I win the lottery and then I can have a place for wildlife and a place at the beach and a place with city views--and if that orange sack of $hit isn't defeated in the next election (if we even get to have an election)--a place in France and a place in Canada and a place on Bonaire!

has taught me, through my observing her, that the greatest peace can come by "just watching the world pass by" I sit on the front porch more now ,doing just that. and you have taken great pictures of what she has taught me. so peaceful

or the clouds changing, is helping to get me through these dark days. Just like so many people, I am increasingly disturbed by what is going on in the country. Capturing natural beauty with my camera helps balance the man made horror show going on out there.

Enjoy sitting on that front porch with your daughter!

All are beautiful (and I agree with CaliforniaPeggy about that crescent moon) but I especially like those clouds in #2.

Excellent stuff as usual.
