C'mon, Photogs! Let's see some entries in the January Contest!

There are all kinds of opportunities with this theme. Think about transitional spaces. Bridges, tunnels, locks (anyone been through the Panama Canal?), hallways, escalators. Think about marches you've attended--the women's march three years ago for instance--and others that are fighting for rights. Civil rights. Gay pride marches. Awareness. Peace, not war, environmental change (solar panels or wind farm anyone?), not denial. Iconic sites where there has been a transition in culture. Doors. All kinds of doors.

C'mon! Is everyone hibernating? Let's see some entries!

Mnhtnbb gave the best possible encouragement and explanation of all the various ways this theme could work and be interpreted. More than I ever could have.

And folks
I am reminding you this is the first contest since according to your own votes we have changed parameters on the contests. You voted to continue the contests, and to no longer be obligated to be the host/hostess for the next one, because now we have it set up so we have pre-determined folks who are volunteering for that not so easy task.

I'm pointing out to you that there no longer is the worry of how to handle a win and the hosting to follow. It is easy now to enter because other than accolades and the applause you have nothing to fear if you win.

GO FOR IT. Show you meant it that the contests should continue, and find a photo. It's this very hostess who did all the work to bring about this big change which makes entering the contest a snap. Let's honor that with entries.

We want and need way more photos to keep this interesting. Please do your part.
