Gaters ... they're everywhere, here in the compound.
But no matter how many times one is spotted, it's treated as if it were the first time one has ever been seen.
Neighbors start posting on their social media. "Spotted an alligator in the canal behind my house"
I shrug them off and at the same time take a shot or two if I have my gear with me. They fascinate me.
I would see this one every morning slowly swimming up the canal, heading to the main lake. Big. I estimated it to be about 9, maybe 10 foot long. I would stand on the bridge and take shots as he approached, passed under me and then departed toward the lake.
