(9,760 posts)I can never get decent pics of any lights at night. Of course, I've been just using my phone's camera for a few years now, and I've never even looked at the settings. Nor did I look at them much on my previous stand alone cameras.
Still, I'm curious about what sort of camera and the settings you used for this.

(3,131 posts)This is the first picture of a planet that worked for me (sort of). There's a little clock to the left of the screen that gave me a choice of off, 3s or 10s.

(3,131 posts)I had the phone pointed a little up. Leaned back at little and kept my arms against my body. The phone counted down the 10 seconds. I'm guessing there is some software that lines up the images.
I haven't read the manual either - that's kind of taboo in my industry (computers). Maybe I should.

(9,760 posts)computer tech at the school where I used to teach. And I learned 90% of what I knew just by acting on my curiosity & clicking around and trying things. For any major problems, I got help from various online forums.
Phones, on the other hand, I know comparatively very little. Probably because I still prefer to do most of my "computing" on my pc. I like to multitask and work with a large screen.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the photo & answering my queries!
