(23,747 posts)That is just purely gorgeous. I kept this up while I was on a potentially difficult phone call to calm my mind. I hope you have this beauty where others can see it too.

(5,730 posts)I do not copywrite my photos, so you're welcome to use it anyway you like.
I am very glad my weeds helped with your phone call. I hope the conversation becomes resolved.

(23,747 posts)Can't do yard work for 2 weeks after having arm surgery yesterday, so weeding will have to wait. Hubby will do the fertilizing but he seldom can be motivated to weed and we have 3 large flower beds and a veggie garden. All are in pretty good condition right now and hopefully won't grow too many weeds over the next few weeks while the caladiums start to come in and the hydrangeas take off. Those 2 flower beds have water intensive plants so weeds love them too sigh.

(5,730 posts)That particular one pictured was out in one of the horse pastures where it was allowed to grow as much as it wanted. My wife's flower garden's a different story. Weeds are not welcome there. Perhaps like your husband, weeding is NOT my favorite thing to do . . .
Hope your arm heals well.

(16,716 posts)Lady Bird Johnson actually started the Texas Wildflower Highway beatification program. We have the most loveliest Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes, Mexican Blankets, Bee Balm, and many others.
I bought a Texas Wildflower book so I can identify the various flowers growing in my state. It's a passion.
And its about that time of year to travel outside of the Metroplex and take some photos.
I enjoy your work!
