... at seventy, I'm willing to pop for the $40. I've wanted one for years. I still have an enlarger and trays, hidden somewhere in the garage.

Schiemflug principal, perspective control . . . *sigh*

Digital has most of these covered with a little trade off but Schiemflug is still out there.

As the video briefly describes, there are things you can do with a tilt/shift camera that are very difficult to do otherwise. If you're ever seen a poster or mural sized landscape photo in stunning resolution and incredible depth of field, chances are it was done in large format.
