Ok, ok, I know the guys aren't really shaving anymore, ya know leaving that 5 O'clock shadow......but on Ari??

His “cool beard shave” is kinda icky, or is it just me??? I don’t even watch Ari, just saw him as I’m passing through channels, but he looks nasty.

The Navy trained me to shave every day. But now retired, maybe once a week or so. No shame, and my dog don’t care. So good to know some ladies think it is sexy.

Multiple crossings. And 4 passages through the Strait, and ran ashore in the Suez. Not my faught, I was on the scope and charts On Port watch. Starboard crew with new Ensign screwed that up and ran our props into a sand bar. Held those oil tankers passage up for 13 hours. The mighty Destroyer stuck in a sand bar. 😱 we Did not miss that OOD junior Ensign, a Haqueseth type.
Smooth seas back at ya.

clean-shaven appearance.

That said, I don't mind neatly trimmed beards as facial hair goes. What drives me nuts is the current trend that echoes the scruffy long out-of-control "Deliverance-type" beard, once only really popular among backwoods hermit-types or some bluegrass or country music performers (the latter didn't really bother me as it was more a traditional kind of look).

But, ooh, I don't like those on men I meet that one might think would assume a more professional appearance in jobs that have a lot of public interaction.

Ick...

Or mutton shops. Or a goatee. Or a handlebar moustache. But I confess that I'm not a fan of the "cool beard shave", it looks like the guy is stuck between "Look, Ma, I hit puberty!" and "My DTs don't let me hold a razor." Maybe a bit harsh but, regardless of who is sporting the style, it always reminds me of the guy we had to scrape off the sidewalk outside the restaurant front door every Saturday morning; one glance at that scruffy look and I can still smell that guy.
