ICYMI: "It's Coming:" Energy Expert on Iran Oil Shock's Impact on U.S.

The U.S. military is currently attempting to guide ships out of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's blockade on this crucial waterway has wreaked havoc on the global oil market, now faced with what energy expert Jason Bordoff calls "the largest supply disruption we've ever seen in history." In his recent Foreign Affairs article, Bordoff details how governments are reassessing their reliance on global energy markets, and why the full impact of this crisis hasn't quite hit America — yet. Bordoff joins the show to discuss.

The unofficial start of Summer.

Vacations.

Trips to the shore, to the lake, to the mountains. IOW, road trips!

And suppose, when the oil shock really hits around then . . . . . imagine that instead of the price of gas rising 25 to 30 cents a gallon overnight, it's 50 to 75 cents. Maybe closer to a dollar.

And like Canadians, a lot of us will re-discover the joys of backyard barbeques and small pools.

I shudder to consider the price of ground chuck rising to $15 a pound (maybe more) due to the cost of transport.
