It really is irritating that people who schedule sports for tv apparently don't watch sports

Now I am not a college basketball fan by any means. But even I know that you need more than 2 hours for a college basketball game. So what does CBS do? Schedule one game at 2pm, another at 4pm and expect them to be done at 6pm. Here it is 6:15pm and I am watching the end of a college basketball game (I need to know what CBS is going to do in regards to the Amazing race. This could have been so much simpler to have the games scheduled for 2.5 hours or 2.25 hours each and say they would finish at 6:30 or 7. But no, people who want to DVR their shows have to figure out when they are going to start because CBS can't tell time.

DirecTv allows you to add an extension of additional time to record, but there is no guarantee that a third overtime, for example, will get recorded.

Another thing that bothersome is that I like to record The Good Wife on CBS, but it almost never starts on time. I might get 20 minutes of the end of The Amazing Race (I don't care), then the first 40 minutes of The Good Wife. Unless I set my DVR to record The Mentalist after TGW, I'll have to watch TGW on cbs's website.
