Ok, I haven't really watched this season, but from what I read, he was one of the favorites because he was a great singer, but also, he was one of the biggest a**holes the show has ever seen...now he's gone. First of the Top 10 to be eliminated. Was he really that off-putting?

1. I heard

him singing on a news clip after he was off. He was doing a Carpenters song. It could not have been worse. He probably has a good voice, but an atrocious style.

But catching parts of the show...like I said, he was one of the early favorites to win, but even then there was talk about him being such a d*ck.

3. He is an ok singer, but during

the Hollywood rounds he was kind of hateful to some of the other young men. Naturally the audience isn't going to vote for someone like that. His voice was "churchy".

If a female doesn't win this year, there is no chance they will ever win again. They are the best in years.
Candice Glover and Kree Harrison are my favorites. Candice is even better than Jennifer Hudson IMO.

He bombed last week, still had the 4th highest vote totals...you can tell who is voting and I don't think a gal will ever win again.

Very pleasant voice, but not spectacular...he's the tweenie favorite though, a non-threatening cute boy!

Everyone, breathe a sigh of relief. Lazaro Arbos' improbable, Sanjaya-like run on American Idol is over: after weeks of remaining in the competition despite being talentless and tone-deaf and unprepared, the sweaty ice cream scooper was finally voted out Thursday night in an unpredictable elimination round that could have sent Amber Holcomb home instead.

Even though Lazaro is THE WORST, a feeling of dread loomed throughout the episode: with his invisible but potent fan base (seriously, WHO ARE THOSE PEOPLE?), and his status as the only dude in the contest, and his sympathy-baiting back story, could he even be stopped?!? After the result was announced, and justice served, Lazaro -- who surely knew the judges wouldn't waste their save on him -- went on to perform a surprisingly non-sucky rendition of "Feeling Good" while the panel pretended to deliberate. The cameras caught Mariah Carey crying and Randy Jackson, who called Lazaro "horrible" on Wednesday night, cackling with glee.
"We love you. You've been a treasure to the show," lied Randy, faking a serious demeanor (but clearly still laughing inside). "We've enjoyed you but we're not gonna use the save."

American Idol is going to have its first woman winner in years and the viewers are starting to come back to see who will win. The show was up in viewers and helped Fox to a win on Wednesday.
