CW Banishes ‘Cult’ to Fridays After Two Weeks of Ratings’ Failure

In an unsurprising move, The CW has decided to relocate its midseason drama Cult to the Friday night death spot previously reserved for reruns.

Since debuting on Feb. 19, Cult has failed to find an audience and has yet to crack 1 million viewers on Tuesday nights. It debuted to 900,000 and a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This week’s episode dropped to around 820,000 viewers.

The show, which stars Matt Davis (The Vampire Diaries), revolves around a show within a show and follows a journalist and a production assistant (Jessica Lucas) as they investigate strange happenings related to the popular show.

1. I forgot it was on Tues(?).

I missed the first two episodes and CW doesn't have on demand, so not sure how to get it except on Hulu. I like the Friday slot- I was pissed when they moved Supernatural to Wed. Friday was scifi night in my house- Grimm, Haven or Merlin, and Supernatural.
