(10,337 posts)like where does all that exhaust from their cars etc. go and where do they get air. I think if I was in that town it would be bicycles only.

(4,851 posts)We don't know the cause of the dome. If it is supernatural, or advanced science controlled by some force, why would it not be easy for car fumes to go in and breathable air to flow in. Maybe the dome itself is sentient and makes these decisions. I think the frustrations come from assuming what the dome is. It can rain, it can maintain temperature, it can maintain homeostasis for humans, which in and of itself is supernatural.

(10,337 posts)wouldn't common sense dictate that you excercise a little caution until you know?

(4,851 posts)I think you do what you do. If the dome is sealing in co2, nothing will save them. the mammals in the done, including humans, will produce enough toxic gas on their own to kill them all. Plus, its a TV show and they have to be able to move to disant locations quickly, so we have to understand some storytelling devices will be employed including cars. But that sounds like it could be a good episode, where does all the CO2 go?
I am leaning toward ancient alien device misued by the government, but part of me wants to think the dome itself is alive.

(8,352 posts)My partner loves anything Stephen King. He is one of her greatest inspirations as a writer.
They explained in one of the episodes that the Dome is actually slightly porous. They sprayed water on it from the outside, and it did make their hands wet. Why is it the way it is? That we don't know yet.
