Survivor Blood v. Water Episode 7 thread - No spoilers on future episodes please

On this week's episode, one bad player left the game and another bad player went to RI. I am somewhat surprised that most of the bad players have been ousted. this will truly be a good ending, as most of the real power players are still there. All but the one I hated most. Fuck You Brad Culpepper (I swear I want that on a t-shirt).

So Kat is still sad Hayden will dump her for gettign sent to RI. She outright asks Hayden to switch spots with her at the challenge. Hayden tells her to think about their long-term future and who has a better chance at wining the game. Kat knows it is him. I agree. If they are a long-term couple, he has to stay. so it is the great fire puzzle challenge that Cochran won to win two seasons ago. I love this puzzle. Its harder than it looks.

John just gets it and wins easily. Laura M. starts to copy his puzzle, which pisses off Kat. Even though she has the right piece in her hand and Hayden is telling her what to do, she can't get a piece to go right. After getting a few, she loses. Kat is ousted and Hayden tells her he loves her. John give the clue to Monica, who tosses it into the fire. Dumbasses!

Then it happens. for the first time we see Tysen make a public play to oust Aras. Tyson seems to get Gervase, Ciera, Caleb and Hayden on board. This is brilliant. If they can get just one more member to join them, they can control the rest of the game. I am blown away by how good Tysen is playing after playing like a fool twice before.

the IC is a tough obstacle course while tied together to get a set of ladder ball bolos. Its a good game. Winners get immunity and a fried chicken feast. The two tribes are pretty even. they get into some blocking and physical pushing, but it looks good. In the end its Tyson v. Tina in ladder ball. Tyson narrowly wins.

Then the idiotic Laura B make a HUGE blunder. In front of everyone, she tells Vytas that he is the one going home tonight and that the four women already decided it. She tells him that she respects him too much to let him get blindsided. She even cries about it. The problem, she never told anyone else that she was going to do it. Tina then makes the dumbass decision to back Vytas over Laura. I think this is the end of Tina. Tina and Monica could essentially tell Laura what to do. If they got to the merge with 4, they would only need to get either one woman or one of the oldies back into the fold to have the tie and possible majority. Now they added a person who they have to know is going to go to his brother. Terrible decision for the person in the weakest twosome left. I suspect it will be her downfall. She went from a leader of a solid 4 to the leader of a weaker 3 where she is the biggest threat of the 3 since her daughter is next to her.

At tribal, Vytas makes a good case for himself playing the trustworthy card he heard all last episode at tribal. It already worked though. Laura B. is gone. But next week, the preview shows a merge and the final end of RI. So we get one more duel. I am hoping its John coming back. Then its merge time and I am betting on Tysen to shine.

It's Peter's Evil Overlord List all over again. When you have the opportunity to take out your biggest threat, you don't wait. Not for a second.

I am hoping to see tysen make the power play to oust Artas at the merge, and see how good Artas is. That will make for a great episode. the next episode is probably going to be the best of this season. It will set up the rest of the game. Tina and co. made a bad call here.

I told my husband she was gone. I don't know why they never seemed to even think about how strong they would be if they sent Vytas to RI. I KNEW they would do this. I hoped they would not. That was one stupid move on Laura's part. That was not taking things into her own hands it was just plain dumb in an alliance. It leaves me thinking that perhaps Tina and Vytas have been talking and she thinks that she and her daughter are safe. Dumb. AH well, moving on and the game changes.

That crap between Hayden and Kat should have clued Hayden into the very things Kat was afraid he would think. Pathetic, what a baby. She never had what it takes and thankfully she is gone.

I am actually hoping for Laura M to come out of RI. I like John too but I think Laura is a smarter player but then that is really hard to know when they have all been out of the tribes for so long.

Still, I am liking this one more than I thought I would. I would really love to see all new players again next time.

...when Laura B. stepped up and acted as the tribe's spokesperson. She, along with Kat, must have been playing a different game, because neither of them was as secure or as "in" as they thought going in to tribal. I believe in my heart that Laura B. was being genuine in her methods, but it was Survivor suicide....Vytas must not be able to believe his luck...he's the only guy there, and the ladies have turned on each other...let's see if his luck holds out...

I think Tyson's agitation against Aras may be his undoing, but with the merge coming up it will be interesting to see how that plays out...I don't think Tyson has half as many allies as he thinks he does...

I too hope that Laura M makes it back into the fold, Laura B is too naïve, John is too dumb, and Laura M is kinda hot....

All in all this is turning out to be another good season once the idiots and drama queens were removed...something I hope the producers may have noticed...

Oh, and we got to see more group praying because, you know, God has a vested interest in who wins the million dollars apparently since Tebow no longer needs help throwing touchdowns...

You are right on the money with the idea that MB and the rest of survivor needs to realize how bad the casting was. Gettign rid of the bad apples has left a smaller, but much more interesting group. I think Tysen is fine, but we will see. Laura M is pretty hot. I am hoping its her too, but it might be John and that would be a waste of a good player.

was when that guy, the really really super dooper religious guy was put there and stayed there as long as it was there. Still they kept showing him praying and talking about bringing God to survivor and I almost stopped watching. I think I might have even written a letter once to them about the need to stop making such a religious show, there was no need to constantly show it as I felt they were. It seems less now but every time I see it I worry that we are going to get it all over again. It so cheapens religion to me and as one who does not love organized religion it is actually offensive.

I know, they could start a Christian Survivor. Now THAT might be an interesting twist.

...I had to laugh...silly sod saw his being on a game show as some sort of test of his faith without realizing what an amazingly stupid statement that was...If I recall that was a truly atrocious season full of faith-based bullshit, but none as bad as the season when Coach got everyone in a circle to pray and ask god to help them win a challenge...the absolute height (depth?) of 'totally-missing-the-fucking-point'...

Not surprising that this shit is aired though, the producer is the same guy that produced that awful 'the bible' mini-series...

That does make some sense now. I wondered who was behind all of that. There are so many things to show besides the praying and actually to show all the praying among a game that really is hard to win if you don't calculate and betray at least once in the game is kinda funny. Yes, we lie and we cheat and we steal and we talk about others and portray them badly just so we can get ahead and win money but that is OK because JESUS! I feel sorry for Jesus sometimes. If an actual person he seemed so much better than all of this.

I had forgotten about Coach and the praying ring. Eechh!

...'dear <insert deity here> please help me win a million dollars on a television game show because that's way more important than curing cancer or helping starving kids in Africa'...

I have no issue with people quietly praying to their own select deity for strength or guidance or support, (or like Aras who finds a quiet spot and meditates) but the whole overt prayer circle baloney just rubs me the wrong way...
